Sissi, anno 2010: STAGE ANIMALS # 2  is exploring the inner world of a performer. It is asking what happens in a performer when she follows her profound urge to perform? In the core of the piece there is the metamorphosis from a private person to a diva - an act where something of the innermost hidden and precious becomes transformed by its exposure to the audience.

Five performers and a live musician make up the body of divas. Stage Animals #2: Sissi, Anno 2010 delves into the roots of am almost forgotten phenomenon today. As the starting point the piece takes the mystery of one of the greatest divas, Empress Elisabeth of Austria-Hungary, Sisi.

Stage Animals #2: Sissi, Anno 2010 is a play between tensions of the performer and the audience, between the public diva figure and the intimate human being, between the ridiculous and the melancholy, hiding and daring, between living and fading out. In this performance the boundaries of the performer disappear, just to reveal something obvious: The vulnerable origin of the diva.
