Cloudbody – an ecology of dreams #2 is the second part of Liisa Pentti‘s solo work series, continuing the exploration initiated in The Body (2017) about meanings of the body, signifying and bodily metamorphoses. Cloudbody is a dialogue that happens in the space between the poetic body and the viewers as well as a corporeal practice. Through dance, sound and videos the work shows us images of identity transformations, layers and recollections, life after death. Images of blind stories and things that cannot be named that arise in the moment of disintegration. Images of the space that is born when the world stops.

Cloudbody #2 is inspired by the album of composer Max Richter, Memoryhouse, and neo-materialism as a philosophical background. It brings forth the limitlessness of the body and its changes that resemble the soft and inevitable transformation of clouds, images and thoughts that cannot be captured. Cloudbody #2 is a dance in the time of not knowing what the world will look like in a year. It is a dance about dancing and performing, the connection between imagining and dancing as well as about secret movements. The work tells us about the disappearance of the meaning of time, butterfly effects and dreams where we live happily ever after.
