In the masterclass instructed by Liisa Pentti the focus is on exploring the connections between movement and imagination. The starting point is bodily sensations and awareness that create possibilities to develop your own dance methods. The course centers on curiosity-based solo work in a physically confined but mentally open space, through the possibilities opened by an online platform.
How to create a dance in any kind of space? How does somatic imagination and the activation of bodily alignments guide us to find new paths and movement-related insights? In addition to this we will surrender to music. The course is suitable for anyone interested in the collaboration of movement and mind.
This course is part of the programme of Bodybuilding 2021 festival. Bodybuilding festival is organised by TEHDAS Teatteri together with Regional Dance Centre of Western Finland and Turku Dansart.
